The material of As Pontes is in the restoration service of CENIEH

The scanning and restoration of the material of As Pontes is in progress in collaboration with the technicians from CENIEH (Burgos). In general, these fossils are in very fragile conditions. The restoration will let a better preservation, preventing their damage. In the order hand, the microCT analyses will allow to observe the internal structure of the fossil remains, which can be studied with virtual models. Here some pictures of our days in CENIEH and the first steps to the digitalization of the specimens.
